The institute also offers the part-time degree programme in second shift for diploma holder field engineers in civil (20), mechanical (20) and electrical engineering branch (20) with total intake of 60.〔https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Advances_in_Civil_Workshop.jpg〕 ==History== Declared as an autonomous society by the Government in 1998 with a board of governors to look after its affairs with the Minister (Department of Technical Education) as its chairman. The institute was affiliated to Awadhesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa, till 2000 afterwards got affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Institute at first was set up in the present Model Science college building with Prof. S.R. Beedkar as founder Principal, later it was shifted to Government B.Ed College building. In 1972 it was shifted to its present campus spread in about . The first batch was started with 120 students in the branches of Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. In 1984 Electronics engineering branch was started with a 20 student intake. In 1980 a B.E. (transfer course) was introduced in civil, mechanical and electrical with 20-intake capacity in each branch to facilitate the diploma holder students graduate. For providing higher education opportunities to serving diploma holder engineers a part-time B.E.
